Zahariz Khuzaimah is a Malaysian adventurer, photographer and a film-maker who left the comfort zone and routine life behind to travel the world in search of life experience which is priceless to him. He wants to live on the road, calling the road as his home, live the nomadic life and see the 21st century world from the eyes of a nomad.
Being a nomad, he never measures time by weeks, days, hours or minutes but he measures time by the difficulty of the terrain, the wind and the mood of the weather. The estimate time to complete the journey is unknown to him and he has no clue what will happen tomorrow or even where will he sleep at night. The journey is nothing about traveling around the world on a bicycle, but to live on the road and learn how to accept everything that comes in life, both the good and the bad.
Mongolia is the starting point of my 3rd journey, Into The West. From Ulaanbaatar, I rode west to Tsetserleg, before proceeding north into Khovsgol Nuur near the border of Siberia, then back by bus to Ulaanbaatar and rode another 600km through the Gobi Desert into Zamyn Uud, before crossing into China via Erenhot (Erlian). I rode total of roughly 1600km in the land of the Mongols, the birthplace of Chinggis Khan. Learned a lot from the Mongols on how to live my life as a nomad.
